Dr. Edwards is now providing concierge therapeutic services to individuals with unique needs or situations, particularly those who may benefit from after-hours services. Concierge treatment at its best, clients can visit the private office or opt for on-call, in-home or mobile therapy allowing you to remain in the comfort of your own home or office while becoming the best you that you can be.

Services are available on-call in a variety of settings. This allows Dr. Edwards to utilize an integrative approach to therapy, which might otherwise be limited by the confines of a typical therapy office. While all psychotherapy performed by Edwards & Assoc. is rooted in evidence-based practices, no two clients are treated the same. Child Custody Evaluations

Dr. Edwards is academically and clinically trained in court-ordered involved or ordered evaluations and interventions, which serve the best interests of the child. As a forensic clinician, it is imperative to remain neutral and unbiased while serving in our professional roles. Dr. Edwards utilizes the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Guidelines for Child Custody Evaluations in Family Law Proceedings in each of her child custody evaluations. She also consults and integrates the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts (AFCC) guidelines when appropriate. She focuses on the importance and intricacies of family dynamics while keeping the best interest of the child the top priority. Dr. Edwards was trained, and engages in, the comprehensive model of child custody evaluations and, as such, will treat each case individually and thoroughly according to ethical and legal standards.

Co-Parenting Therapy

Parents involved with high conflict divorce, parents currently navigating the separation process, or even parents who simply need assistance with breakdowns in communication from time to time can all benefit from co-parenting therapy Dr. Edwards specializes in co-parenting therapy, which aims to separate couples’ former relational hostilities from their ongoing parental responsibilities. This particular therapy also focuses on achieving an amicable co-parenting arrangement, determined and outlined by the co-parents, in order to decrease the stress on the children involved, as well as the family dynamic as a whole.

At times, triers of fact will be tasked with weighing the significance of the aggravating or mitigating factors of a criminal case and to apply such factors when deciding various forms of sentencing defendants. Dr. Edwards’ unique Psy.D. in Clinical Forensic Psychology, afforded her the opportunity to be academically trained in psycho-legal issues relating to our justice systems. In doing so, she is able to integrate clinical principles, ethical standards, and forensic assessment tools to construct specialized evaluations for the Court. Dr. Edwards’ experiences within jails, prisons, and other correctional facilities, have allowed her to complete these evaluations frequently while utilizing an inclusive evaluation protocol for the Court.

Collaborative Law Process

Collaborative practice is a customized, client-centered process through which families resolve divorce, child custody and other legal issues respectfully and efficiently, avoiding litigation and focusing on solutions to meet each family’s unique needs. The Collaborative Process respects your privacy, financial resources, values and time. All participants work together in a transparent, structured and supportive environment. Dr. Edwards is trained as a Coach in the Collaborative process. She can offer the support as a neutral individual who can help facilitate communication between you and your spouse to develop groundwork for a new family dynamic. As a coach, Dr. Edwards may meet with you outside of the collaborative meetings, as well as participate during meetings to help you and your spouse decide on schedules and develop methods for resolving potential conflicts.
